Police Brutality

Hesiod, in a post worth reading because it relates my exact opinon about many recent protests, brings this story, and particularly, this photo to my attention.

What, if anything, could this cameraman have been doing or saying to the bike cop to deserve a face full of pepper spray? Please? Anyone have an answer? Or are you all objectively pro-pepper spray?

Maybe I'm biased, especially since I've recently heard from Ginny second-hand accounts of a local protest (it ended in tear gassing crowds that included small children) that radically differred from account on the news, but it really seems from these photos that the police over-reacted.

But a flag was burned, so I guess that's okay.
